Caring for the needy around us – Visit to Samarthanam, 27th December 2019
We from the UKSL trust, time and again, involve in helping the needy people of the society in a possible way from our side. We discussed amongst the trustees and the honorable members of the trust and decided to extend our support. This year we have decided to support NGO which is involved in uplifting the disabled students of our society since years. We have investigated many organisations who have involved in such activities and concluded to engage with Samarthanam. Samarthanam trust for disabled was established in the year 1997 by founder managing trustee Mr.Mahantesh G Kivadasannavar along with his friends. Having headquarters in HSR layout Bengaluru it has got offices in Chennai, New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ananthapur, Guntur, Pune and Kochi. Within Karnataka it has got offices in Belagavi, Dharwad, Gadag and Ballari. Learnt that it has got it’s overseas office in Melrose – USA. Through it’s various offices Samarthanam is supporting 100+ disabled people.
Trust treasurer Mr.Prakash Rajagoli and Trustee Mr.Deepak Alur visited the Samarthanam organisation on 27th December 2019 in JP Nagar Bengaluru and handed over a cheque for Rs.10,001.
Key take ways from the event:
Our interactions with Samarthanam representatives Mrs.Anitha and Mr.Stalin gave satisfaction that the money donated by our trust will be used for the right purpose.
UKSL Trust, Bengaluru thanks all the donors and members who helped directly or indirectly for organizing this event and making it a great success.
The next steps: Trustees and life members would like to take up such society give back initiatives through crowd funding.
