Grocery distribution to Old Age Home during COVID19 pandemic (Phase 2)
We are happy to let you know that, from UKSL Trust, we completed our second phase of COVID19 relief work on 20th April 2020.
As part of that, we distributed Grocery to Old Age Home in Bangalore. The entire operation was carried out without breaking any of the lockdown rules.
The Grocery package contained following items.
- Rice – 25kg
- Toor Dhal – 10kg,
- Wheat flour – 10kg
- Sugar – 10kg
- Ragi flour – 10kg,
- Refined sunflower oil-1 Tin of 15 litres
- Upama Rava – 5kg
- Urad daal – 5kg
- Coffee powder – 1kg
- Salt powder – 5kg
- Kadalebele – 2kg
- Maida flour – 2kg
We identified few of the old age homes in Bangalore and checked on what are their needs.
Mr. Satya Singh of Sri Sai Samrudhi old age home (https://srisaisamrudhioldagehome.business.site/) requested our trust to supply grocery material to cook food and serve around 15 old age people to cover lock down period until 3rd May 2020.
They were finding it difficult to meet this requirement as their funds were drying and material from the donors was not reaching them on time. It was a challenge for us. We figured out a grocery shop near this old age home and got the quote. Looking into the noble intention of our social work, the provision store owner quoted best prices.
I transferred the required amount through online to the provision shop owner and requested Mr. Satya Singh to collect the material from the shop.
It was really a satisfying deed that we were able to help the inmates of this old age home whose daily food supply was impacted.
We sincerely thank everyone who extended their help and contributed generously in completing the task successfully.
Mission accomplished! ☺
