Grocery distribution to stranded labours in Uttarahalli – Bengaluru (Phase 4)
In continuation with UKSL’s mission of helping the needy during COVID19 pandemic, we are executing the tasks with personal involvement of UKSL trust members. UKSL trust member Mr. Mahantesh Veerapur has surveyed the areas in south Bengaluru and identified the families who need grocery badly. He personally visited the places and got confirmation that no other government agencies or other organisations have reached them so far!! With the help from Mr. Prabhu Savanur and Mr. Gangadhar Wali 50 sets of grocery were packed from the provision stores in Basaveshwarnagar and transported in personal vehicle of Mr.Wali.
On the early morning of 6th May distributed them in Uttarahalli settlement area of Bengaluru. Trust members Mr. Devaraj Barakol and Mrs. Jyotilakshmi Veerapur joined hands with Mr. Wali and Mr. Veerapur in distributing the grocery packets.
Each grocery packet worth Rs.750 contained: Wheat flour – 5 kg, Toor dal – 1 kg, Moong dal – 500 gms, Eedible oil – 1 litre, Coconut oil – 100 gm, Tea powder – 250 gms, Toothpaste – 100 gms, Chilli powder – 100 gms, Bath soap and detergent – 1 each and Biscuit – 1 packet.
