Distribution of Nutritious Food program To TB Patients to support

Pradhan Mantri TB Mukta Bharat Abhiyan in coordination with

UKSL Trust, RDPR*, Health Departments and KHPT** in Belagavi Taluk

This initiative aims to strengthen the health and recovery of patients through proper nutrition and care, thereby contributing to a TB-free Karnataka and a healthier India.

In continuation of this effort, we are pleased to share the Fourth Month Progress Report for your kind perusal.

It was a heart-touching moment when UKSL distributed nutritious food kits to ten TB patients of Belagavi Taluka under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan as a Nikshay Mitra.

When UKSL trust first received this proposal from KHPT and the DTO office Belagavi, there was some uncertainty about how it would be implemented and how much it could truly support vulnerable families. Today, after successfully completing the fourth round of distribution with the support of KHPT, the DTO office, and BIMS, the impact is clear.

We have successfully completed the Fourth month’s food kit distribution on September 9th. Some patients personally collected their food kits, while others were represented by their caregivers. The distribution took place at District Civil Hospital, Belagavi. Food kits worth Rs 7,000 distributed to 10 beneficiaries.

We sincerely thank Shri. Ramanagouda Patil, vendor and former staff member of KHPT, whose voluntary support played a key role in the successful implementation of this round of distribution.

Team UKSL thanks Shri. Raghavendra Kulkarni, for his generous contribution towards this noble cause. Request others to join hands also.

“The food we receive from the Trust is most helpful to us. Earlier, I used to work as an agricultural labourer in my village, but after being infected with this disease, I have been unable to work in the fields. This nutritious food support has helped us survive. My grandchildren are also able to eat well because of this,” said 60-year-old Sushila from Agasage village, expressing her gratitude.

Note: To protect the beneficiaries’ privacy, faces are masked with their consent.

THANK YOU
