Vanamahotsava 2025
On 15th June 2025, UKSL celebrated its 7th Vanamahotsava @ Rangoli Gardens near Jakkur, Bengaluru. It’s a village theme park showcasing models with different trades covering the village life.
Under the able guidance of Mr. Mahantesh Veerapur, preparations began a fortnight in advance.
Key Highlights of the event:
– Mrs. Padmaja Kottur, UKSL member trustee, identified the venue and visited the site along with fellow trust member Mr. Mahantesh Veerapur for sapling plantation.
– 75 participants planted over 50+ saplings.
– The event featured a sculptural journey into Karnataka’s cultural heritage.
– A competition to identify village articles was held and participation was overwhelming.
– Book prizes (ಮಜಾ ಮನೆಹೆಸರುಗಳು “Majamane Hesarugalu” written by Mr. Prakash Rajagoli, UKSL Trust – Secretary) were distributed to the following winners.
6 Kids (Namisha, Ekansh, Sankalp, Rishab, Charvi and Kushi)
Women: Mrs. Prabhavathi Joshi and Mrs. Ashwini Wali, Men: Mr. Umashankar and Mr. Gurunath Kulkarni
Team UKSL extends Special Thanks to Mr. Prakash Rajagoli for sponsoring morning tea and biscuits, Padmaja Kottur for notebooks and pens.
Big thanks to following Donors who generously donated Rs 13700 in total for saplings.

Team UKSL thanks Mr. Mahantesh Veerapur for sapling selection, transportation and executing the event for the 7th year in a row.
All the attendees enjoyed delicious authentic north Karnataka oota.
Some of them enjoyed horse ride and Jataka ride. Few took part in Magic show. Some of them tried with pot making. Mrs. Padmaja K and Mr. Girish Metgudmath sang few songs and got applause from the audience.
In a nutshell all of them enjoyed the event and returned home with Tulasi plants and fond memories.
