Tiny step towards plastic mukt Bharat

Chikkatotlukere mutt near Tumkur is a calm place for meditation but is a lesser-known place to general public.

Through UKSL trust we selected this place for Vanamahotsava 2023 (sapling plantation) and notebook, compass box and towel distribution for the students.

While having prasaada (lunch at mutt premises) we noticed that plastic glasses are used to drink water. We thought why we can’t donate some steel glasses and jugs so that plastic menace can be controlled.

Thanks to all the donors who contributed generously for this noble cause.

Thanks to Mrs Veena Karthik and Mr. Karthik Hiremath who personally visited shops in chikpet area of Bengaluru and selected 200 steel glasses and 4 jugs.

On 30^th September Mr Deepak Alur, Mr Arun Yadwad, Mr Mallikarjun Hosamani and myself visited the place and handed over the material. Swamiji of the mutt was very happy to receive and blessed such initiatives of UKSL trust. Junior Swamiji was also present.
