Vanamahotsava 2023 report

5th Vanamahotsava celebration by UKSL trust was held in Shri Atavi jangama sukshetra, Chikkatoltukere in Tumkur district on 11th June 2023

We started preparation for the same a fortnight in advance under the able guidance of Mr. Mahantesh Veerapur. This year dynamic UKSL member Mr. Vijayakumar Kammar is main person in identifying the venue, coordinating with mutt authorities and helping us in all respect. Along with him Prabhu Savanur, Mahantesh Veerapur and Prakash Rajagoli visited the place a week before for dry run and identified the places for planting the saplings. A big thanks to his highness shri manniranjana pranavaswaroopi Atavi Shivalinga mahaswamiji and the mutt authorities. Mr Kammar, resident of Tumkur, made multiple visits to the mutt and arranged for pits and the saplings. Before the event Mr Arun Yadwad couple along with Prakash Rajagoli visited the venue and ensured all the arrangements are in place.

True to the spirit of “Go green before green goes”, nature enthusiasts in 2 busses from across Bengaluru gathered to celebrate Vanamahotsava.

Around 75+ participants with all age group planted more than 70 saplings.

Thanks to sponsors for breakfast (Mrs Manjula Kolavi) and Lunch (Mrs and Mr. Prakash Rajagoli) Thanks to donors for the saplings as well.

We donated towels and notebooks to the students of the mutt.

While doing the dry run we noticed that there is a goshala in the mutt premises and it’s full of desi cattles!! We decided to help the mutt authorities and sent a an appeal for donations. The response was amazing, and we could be able to collect Rs 55,555 and donated the same to Swamiji to look after the desi cattles.

On the way back home, we visited Mandargiri betta, did trekking and enjoyed the nature.
